This month we’re going to have lots of fun on the blog talking about “The Best of Being a Boy Mom!”
If you’ve ever felt the need to defend yourself when someone asks,
- “Are you hoping to have a girl some day?”
- “Are they always this loud?”
- “How do you keep up with all this chaos?”
Then this month is for you! We’ll talk about our absolute favorite things about being a mom to boys and hopefully encourage each other to see the benefits of having boys!
The love and affection between a mom and her son, and the relationship that moms and little boys have
I love my son’s zest for life, his imagination, and his love for simply getting out and moving! There’s is nothing more precious in the world than his hugs and kisses! Pure love and joy!
I absolutely love being a boy Mom. I love that we can dig in the dirt, get soaking wet on the trampoline, have wild dance parties, and snuggle up and read a good book. I love the loud…even if it stirs up my anxiety…Because they are so passionate and full of life. Singing at the top of our lungs, running carefree and shoeless, watching bugs and learning about bodily functions, it’s all a part of experiencing life, enjoying God’s amazing creation to its fullest, and that’s how we do it…GO BIG and BOLD or go home .
Loved this!
I love their desire to be leaders and how they watch out for their sisters. We love the wrestling, loudness, and friends that come to our house and even cause more craziness. This is a season, so enjoy it while they are all at home. Let your house be an open door to many that don’t have what you may have. Christ is all that we need!
The fun part of being an MOB is that when we want to go out we don’t need to worry about hair, shoes, looks and all the girlie things, all we need is a pair of jeans and a clean shirt and we are out.
I love being a boy mom (I have 4!!) because I know I’m helping to turn them into godly husbands and fathers someday. Plus, I love how much fun they are and how much they love and protect me. I love to watch them excel in the gifts God has given them and I love encouraging those gifts! I enjoy watching them emulate their dad and I pray they’ll have hearts after their Heavenly Father, too. Being a boy mom is more fun that I ever could have imagined and I love knowing that my family is perfectly made and planned by God. What a joy and a blessing!
I love that they pick me flowers and long to be the little prince that girls always have dreamed about.
I love his hugs and kindness! He is so eager to learn. He is always thoughtful of others. I love reading Bible stories and praying together. He notices the little things.
I love that each one of my 3 boys have their own unique personality and that I have been blessed with the challenge of figuring out how to be the best mom to each of them. I love how my oldest can brighten my mood through his story telling with his dry wit. I love how my middle can surprise me with his loving affection through his tough exterior. And I love how my youngest can warm my heart with a bear hug that is so innocent and genuine. We have no shortage of our loud, rough and tumble moments in our home, so I cherish each and every one of the tender ones. God sure knew what he was doing when he made me the mom of these 3 boys…I cannot imagine it any other way!
I love how my boys make great exercise partners they love going on walks and I love their curiosity I’m a boy mom of two boys and expecting an unknown gender baby in Nov I have prayed for a girl but have a feeling it’s another boy
I love watching my son play and get excited about his world! His imagination and creativity never leaves us not entertained! He has taught me that boys really are affectionate and very sweet! Love looking into his eyes so easy to just get lost in those precious moments!
I love the hugs, dandelion flowers, and overwhelming love for their mama. It is also wonderful that they don’t care about fashion!
I love that I no longer carry in groceries!! Ha! But seriously, as our sons are maturing, it is so heartwarming to see how they want to be men. Give me all the loud and messes and wrestling matches and disassembled electronics and holey jeans and constant sword fights. Because I also get opened doors and mowed lawns and wildflowers and homemade trinkets and loads and loads of love (and stinky laundry…)
I’m a girly girl and this house full of boys is teaching me to appreciate how God Himself ingrained their instinct to protect and defend. What a blessing to parent these little Kingdom warriors!
I love the loud craziness. I love that they spent this afternoon making messes outside drenching each other with water while there is still 6+ inches of snow in the yard. I love that they stretch me to be a better person, a better mom. I love how sensitive they all are and how sweet they are. They all love so deeply and bring so much passion to everything they do. Their zest for life is so inspiring. I just wish I had the energy to keep up and maybe ear plugs sometimes 🙂
Building with Legos, being surprised with dandelion bouquets, and receiving sloppy kisses at bedtime
I love my son’s devotion and love for me. He is one of my biggest cheerleaders and we have such great conversations. He is alike me and yet so different. And I love finding out surprises about him and seeing how his mind works. He teaches me so much and also stretches me.
Our little home is full of noise, mess and destruction with 3 little boys. But they’re so creative and love their mama. I also get lots of kisses, hugs and help around the kitchen. I love that even though I’m with them every hour of the day, they wonder where I am once I leave the room. The love they show, amazes me, and I know God had a plan when he gave me boys. Although I can’t keep up most days, I don’t think I’m supposed to because it reminds me to lean on God (because I love order and really want to do it all!) Having boys has pulled us more and more away from materialism and desire a simple life.
I love being the princess in every game we play together! And anything they come across that is pink or sparkles, is mommy’s!
I am a proud mom of 4 beautiful, yes beautiful, boys. They are always so quick to compliment me for so many reasons. They have the utmost respect for me & I very rarely have to deal with a moody/cranky attitude. I love their competitiveness & passion for football. I love that they are learning how to treat & respect girls & women through the way they treat me. Each of them have something that reminds me of myself, whether it be a physical feature or personality trait. I believe it is an honor & blessing to have been chosen to be a “BOY MOM.” I truly love it & will be forever grateful.
