Welcome to our video series, Meet The Team! Each day this month, we want to introduce you to one of our incredible writers from The MOB Society in the hopes that you’ll get to know them better, see the face and voice behind the words on the screen, and give them a chance to share their heart for equipping and encouraging BoyMoms just like you!
Today, we’d like to introduce you to Melanie Young — This homeschooling mama of SIX boys (and two girls) writes alongside her husband, Hal at RaisingRealMen.com. Today, she’s inviting us to the lake to soak up the last bit of a southern summer in her hammock. Hal and Melanie have written an incredible resource for BoyRaisers called, Raising Real Men: Surviving, Teaching, and Appreciating Boys — it’s the book they couldn’t find when they first started their parenting journey. Ultimately, their passion is to teach their sons about Jesus and see them follow after Him! With three of their boys all grown up and three still at home, they stand in a unique space of being able to speak with wisdom and experience while still being right in the trenches with the rest of us! At the MOB Society, Melanie writes on a variety of subjects: transitioning our boys from one stage to the next, the things they wish they had known earlier, and the hard things about parenting boys and protecting their hearts!
