A Little Something UNEEK for Your Boys!

These monsters are a boy’s best friend, and you are going to love them, too!

Our friends at DaySpring have just launched a line of quirky monsters who love God!

Seriously cute, right?!

My boys loved their UNEEKS just for their looks right away, but then we discovered their personalities together and that’s where the fun really began!

Splat, Alliebird, Mustachio, and Dweeber each have little “bios” are their tags, sharing talents, favorite things, best friends, and favorite Bible verses!

And these UNEEKS want to spread God’s love to others as well! The UNEEK line from DaySpring also includes cards and these awesome stickers that could be handed out to trick-or-treaters!

I just think that is the best idea! We will be handing them out to candy-seekers on Halloween night in our neighborhood!

Would you like some for your kiddos and neighborhood?

Right now, until October 31st, when you buy the plush U-NEEKS for your kiddos for just $7.99 a piece, you can get the glow-in-the-dark U-NEEK stickers to hand out to trick-or-treaters {or any kids!} for just $1 a box {40 stickers per box}! The actual plushes, cards, and stickers say nothing about Halloween, so you could really use them for anytime of year!

  1. I do neighborhood outreach with my church. Headed out today to decorate for our annual Fall Festival!
Tracey´s last [type] ..Day 23…Plus some

  2. Our radio station has light the night print outs that you can attach to candy so we plan to do that.
My boys would love the monsters!

  3. We always donate clothes, shoes and toys to those in need. It teaches our kids to shate, and shows the other kids someone is thinking of them and God loves them. these sticker are such a great idea to share on haloween.

    • We equally donate old clothes and shoes to charity particularly during the christmas season.
This way we tell show that charity is a good way to fellowship.

  4. Always looking for meaningful gifts for all the neighborhood birthday parties that we get invited to, and these plushes would be awesome along with the cards. My daughter does a lot of babysitting for these kids and it would great for her to have the stickers in her bag to give to the kids at bedtime (usually when she is babysitting) for them to enjoy and stare at as they fall asleep. No more fits for falling asleep when they have a great glow in the dark sticker. :)

  5. i volunteer at a children’s psychiatric center for kids 11 to 17 yrs old. i share the gospel with them & we worship together. i’m also praying about forming a Christian club at my town high school.

  6. I am always looking for something creative to give for birthday treat-bags and for those trick-or-treaters. This is the perfect alternative to candy! What a great way to reach those boys!

  7. My kid’s school does Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes. We just got ours yesterday and the kids are having such a great time filling them up. We also went online and watched the videos of children receiving the boxes so they really understand the purpose behind the giving.

  8. Our family supervises outdoor night-time neighborhood games for the middle school and up youth in our subdivision usually 1-2 Saturday nights a month. Some of my greatest memories as a child are playing flashlight tag, capture the flag, grog, etc…. at night with my cousins. We don’t have family that live in the area, but I wanted my children to enjoy some of those same memories safely and it turns out we have just as many neighborhood parents particpate in the play so its an awesome way to bring families together.

As for how we reach out to kids in our neighborhood at Halloween, we put a “treat tracs” together which is usually a sticker or fun card that has a message about God’s love combined with a treat.

  9. Jennifer W says:

We don’t live in a neighborhood, we are out in the country, but we do a fall fest each year for all of our childs friends and work friends kids so they don’t have to worry about going out for Halloween. Its a fun get together with nothing spooky are scary and the kids seem to really love it….the parents do as well :)

  10. The stickers are such a great alternative to candy! i usually try to give out something besides candy to trick or treaters. These stickers are a great idea. My boys love plush toys. Their beds are littered with a collection of them and I love these UNEEK dolls!!!

  11. We are the one “young family” in a neighborhood of mostly senior citizens. We like to reach out to our neighbors and help with simple needs, from bringing in a trash can to checking on someone we haven’t seen in awhile to make sure they are safe. Our neighborhood is great at looking out for each other and we are happy to instill that in our own children. On Halloween, we get trick-or-treaters who spill over from other neighborhoods, so it would be fun to include the stickers in with their treats.

  12. The kids in my neighborhood come to my house to play with my kids. We take them to Awanas, VBS and safe Halloween parties. We watch Veggie Tales when we have a similar problem to solve. For the older kids we discuss the meaning of Christmas, and Easter. We also tell them they can come to our house if the don’t feel safe @ anytime. There are 3 kids I check on often. Their mother died 10 years ago, father is in and out of jail. I’ve taken them in, fed they when they were out of food. Gone to their schools on bring your mom to school day. I’ve taken them to school amd picked them up. I haven’t tried to replace their mom just filled in when asked. I try to help anyone I can, without reward. We should always help if we can, without thought of reward. It’s just the right thing to do. I love the idea of these U-NEEK toys for boys, my son is 13 now, but I’m sure he would love one. ;-)

  13. We love to invite all the kids in our neighborhood and at school to go to youth group with us. We always say that once you go you will want to come back!

  14. we don’t have a whole lot of kids in our neighborhood- since we just moved to the country.. but i hope that as our son gets older and heads to school and such we will be able to have sleepovers and share fun and God’s love with all his friends and beyond!

  15. Heather K. M. says:

We do Operation Christmas Child. We are always trying to glorify God by are actions.

  16. Anne B.B. says:

We have many refugee families in our area, and we make a bag for each child near Halloween. As they are learning English we are picking them to go to church to learn about Jesus. We include them in as many activities as we can…UNeeks would be GREAT for the boys!

  17. Kelly Black says:

To reach out to the neighborhood kids, our family has helped to host/put on a neighborhood play, using Christian Children’s Musical materials by Kathy Hill. We’ve done a neighborhood Easter egg hunt/party. We, also use little gifts from CTA (Christian Tools of Affirmation) at various holidays throughout the year to shine the light of true Life.

  18. I reach out to kids in my neighborhood by giving special gospels to the young ones and telling bible’s stories to the little one.

  19. We are a part of our neighborhood play group. Through the relationships we have built we are able to share our life with non-believers and show them what Christ has done in our lives. Thanks!

  20. It’s amazing what kids will do ;-) they love to talk to neighbors and are outgoing and friendly in ways I could never be and often open doors with their candid conversations!
Jen Mc´s last [type] ..thoughts for today

  21. I live in a condominium neighborhood, so when the weather’s nice it’s easy to meet neighbors. My son is 3 and we walk our dog in the morning and afternoon. He’s a very friendly child, so we have no problem talking to strangers. I’d love to use this as an opportunity to share with our neighbors as we walk our dog.
    Michelle Brinson´s last [type] ..Karoo…Woohoo!

  22. Our goal is to be Christ to those around us. I try to help out the other moms by watching their kids and we always try to have an open house policy in our neighborhood- kids are all welcome to come over and play and I usually have snacks for them. I also bring cookies around to neighbors especially if I hear that they are having a hard time. It took a while to get to know everyone through just taking walks down the street or showing up on people’s doorsteps with banana bread but it has been time well spent! I love when people come over because they just want to talk; I’m open about my own struggles and I think it helps people be more real with me and it helps conversations go deeper.

  23. Yvonne Martinez says:

My youngest boy would love these.. my younger nephews would too! Those stickers would be great to hand out with candy this Halloween..

  24. Kristina Dubberly says:

I would really like to invite the kids to meetings at Church.

  25. Would LOVE to hand these stickers out to trick or treaters in our neighborhood!! :)

  26. I reach out by simply inviting them into my home. I think it is so important for them to see the love of Christ through an every day family and just see us in our home and accepting them into it!

  27. It’s a ‘common’ thing, but this year is the first our church is doing a “trunk or treat” and inviting all the neighborhood kids. Along with candy for the kids, we will be offering coffee and hot dogs, and also will have a big screen TV out in the parking lot showing the NFL game (our town does Trick or Treating on Sunday afternoons). I pray this outreach will reach some people!

  28. My daughter, age 24, is doing a long-term teaching position for this school year. She is so excited/thankful to be a first time teacher of 2nd graders for the entire school year which came up unexpectly (praise god!)…just days before school started. This would be a great help to begin her teaching career as her supplies are very limited. I enjoy helping in her classroom and seeing her students face light up w/JOY. What a fun & exciting time by making a difference in the lives of others…young or old.

  29. Megan Troxell says:

I’ve got two very little boys so were just at the point of making more friends in the neighborhood who are THEIR friends.

  30. We don’t have a lot of kids in our immediate neighborhood as it’s an older development. But I would love to have a “block party” to get to know the neighbors we do have.

  31. We often have our neighbor kids over to play in our yard. We are sure to invite them to church events. We have also taken part in “boo-ing” our friends. It is where you secretly leave a small package on a friends’ doorstep, knock and run away. You can put whatever you want in the package…including a note about God’s love for them!

  32. We have the neighborhood kids at our house all the time. We just include them as part of the family. We also help at the church’s Fall Festival where many of our neighborhood kids attend.
