let’s hear it for the boys! {#linkup}

In a world where it’s way too easy to see all of the negative about our boys, we want to help you intentionally look for something to brag on…

  • Maybe your boy made a good grade this week
  • Maybe he served someone spontaneously
  • Maybe he learned a significant life lesson
  • Maybe he did something hilarious!
  • Maybe he looked super cool in his costume/dress up clothes!
  • Maybe you took a fabulous photo of him you just want to show off.

Tell us all about it on Thursdays in the MOB Society’s new link-up…

Let’s Hear it For the Boys!

(#LetsHearItForTheBoys on Twitter)

There’s only two real rules for this link-up…

Brag on your boys! Tell the world how they make you proud! Take time each week to write down or take pictures of the good things they do and remind yourself of how God is working in their hearts.

And…leave a link back here to the MOB Society so other boy moms can brag on their boys!

We think it might change your whole perspective.

Link-up! (Or if you don’t blog, tell us about your amazing boy in the comments!)

    I am a mother of two boys 11yers and 20months.In past month I was so tired and sometimes, when I return from work, i go to couch. My litle boy running around me.But my older, Massimo, few times told me “Do not worry!”. He make me Coffee with cream ( he make a cream byself) ,bring me on my cauch and go to play with little brother ,just becausehe wish to make me time for rest! I am thankfull God for him and for those greate aftenoons.

  2. I’m so proud of my son Jadon… he has been a late bloomer in the department of potty training. Some days he’s great, other days not so much. Yesterday, we made a big decision to start wearing our big boy undies to school. We’d been doing it off and on at home. He did great. Only one accident. I was so proud of him. I’m praying for continued success. It’s funny… because I’ve been guilty of beating myself up about this because all the other kids in his class are potty trained… and I’m reminded every day when I sign him out because it’s written on the kids daily sheets. Then, several of my friends from church who are able to stay at home with their little ones have potty trained their boys much sooner than mine… and at times it’s made me feel like such a failure. But the truth is and I must remind myself of this daily… every kid is different and that’s okay. And seriously, who cares when he’s potty trained, as long as it’s before he starts kindergarten. But I’m glad we’ll be done well before then. To all those moms out there… especially the ones who deal with lots of mommy guilt… let’s try to not be so hard on ourselves and look for ways and opportunities to encourage each other in this very challenging, yet rewarding job. You’re doing a great job! Hang in there!

    My youngest son has been sick all week with high fevers. He is normally such an active little boy, but for the last week he hasn’t moved off of the couch. During one of the moments when the Advil had kicked in, I was snuggling with him on the couch and he looked at me with such love and said “Thank you Mama.” I just wanted to squeeze him so tightly. Moments like that make all the difficult, weary moments melt away. I actually managed to capture this precious moment on my phone.

  4. My story has 2 parts, funny and heart melting: Yesterday, my son Josh took a few of his favorite Lego characters to school, including a skeleton. When he got off the bus, he was in tears and I managed to understand that he had lost the foot piece of the skeleton. I felt pretty helpless. What are the chances of finding a tiny piece of plastic 24 hours later? In the middle of his sobs, he suddenly perked up and said, “Mom! You can go on skeletonfoot.com and order a new piece! “. I tried not to crack up, but it was impossible not to giggle at his innocence-mixed-with-unrealized-hilarity. Later that night we prayed and Josh asked Jesus to keep the Lego piece safe til he got on the bus the next day. Skip forward to the next day…Josh raced off the bus with the tiny foot in hand, a huge smile on his face. “Jesus watched it all through the night and kept it safe, just like we asked him to, Mom! He never loses track of anything! “. My heart melted and overflowed at the same time. Thank you, Jesus, that you never lose track of anything and thank you that my little guy is learning this truth early on :-) .
